Founded in 2020 by Aditi Lunkad, Chaarpai draws inspiration from the traditional Indian woven cot, blending community, comfort, and simplicity with modern design. Starting with a small store in Raipur, the brand creates thoughtful stationery, planners, journals, and home décor, celebrating Indian craftsmanship while focusing on functionality and beauty. Loved across India, Chaarpai turns everyday objects into meaningful companions, inspiring joy, organization, and lasting value.

Chaarpai was born in 2020 from a design assignment that Aditi Lunkad worked on during her second year of design school. Inspired by the humble Indian woven cot known as the “chaarpai,” Aditi envisioned a brand that would carry forward its values of community, comfort, and simplicity. With her passion for interior and furniture design, she turned this vision into reality by creating a lifestyle brand rooted in Indian tradition yet styled for modern living.

The journey began with a small brick-and-mortar store in Raipur, Chhattisgarh. From day one, Chaarpai’s mission has been simple — to design thoughtful products that spark joy in everyday life. From stationery and planners to journals and home décor, every item is crafted with a focus on detail, functionality, and beauty.

Aditi’s own growth from a design student to an entrepreneur mirrors her brand’s philosophy: simple beginnings can evolve into meaningful, lasting creations.
